Soulful bar "Mayakovsky
ul. 3 Mayakovsky St.
Editorial Opinion
If you miss the atmosphere of chamber European bars - welcome to "Mayakovsky". Pleasant semi-darkness, wooden bar and unexpectedly diverse gastronomic component are successfully spiced up with musical weekends: you can listen to jazz, blues, rock and covers of the most popular songs of the last decades after paying a deposit in advance (from 500 rubles per person).
The author's liqueurs, hearty breakfasts and atypical dishes with local flavor: fried meat and draniki deserve special attention.
The garlanded windows (which you can also take a seat by!) overlook a quiet, narrow street with eighteenth-century buildings, the most impressive of which is the former Noblemen's Assembly House. Now the Philharmonic Hall is located there, and if you really like bright contrasts, we advise you to enjoy a concert of classical music and, afterwards, to eat, dance and drink "Lilichka" at "Mayakovsky".
Advantages: comfort, unusual menu, concerts on weekends.
Disadvantages: There's not much room, you have to make a reservation on weekends.
