Historical background
First mentioned in 1795 as "new village Abdulova" with a population of 37 people, named after the elder Abdula Yakupova. Since 1811 it was called Abdulino. Administratively it was a part of Buguruslan district. After construction in 1886-1888 of Samara-Zlatoustov railroad became a railway station. In 1895 the company "Perov and Zuev" built behind the river Tiris plant for processing buckwheat into groats. In Abdulino were built large steam mill, elevator. In 1923 Abdulino received city status.
